Acland was the publisher, translator and illustrator of  The glorious Recovery by the Vaudois of their Valleys by Henri Arnaud (J. Murray, London, 1827).

This volume, published 4 years later, presents just the map and the 12 fine engravings by Edward Finden, without the text. Accompanied with an introduction to the history of the Vaudois and plate descriptions.
